The latest apple app that i ran into this week was the UPS Mobile App for iPhone. It is specially designed with features that let you easily manage your shipments on the go. This App lets you track and nickname shipments, create shipping labels, find UPS service locations via GPS, and estimate shipment costs and delivery times. This app could be used in everyday life, or play a vital role in business. For example, when I order a new pair of soccer cleats every year, I like to know exactly when they are going to arrive. Then on a more serious note, business shipping large quantities or important products can check exactly when they are to be delivered.
I worked for UPs during my teenage years and this would drasically help workers communicate information to customers. letting them know trackign times and places is a huge advantage.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty crazy..I wonder if something like that could be done for books that we order for college. I know a lot of us are left wondering for the first few weeks of class when are books are going to arrive. This would be a great app to help give us an eta for Wegley's class!
